The MS Sentosa is the ideal ship for dignified round trips, excursions and events on Lake Zurich. This is ensured by the cosy interior, such as the large saloon with its comfortable upholstered benches at four semi-circular tables. Large, fully insulated windows offer a wonderful all-round view, and the two open bow and stern sections invite you to linger. The Sentosa is also technically equipped with everything you need for a successful event: very quiet engines, dimmable indirect lighting and a sound system are just a few examples.
‘Sentosa’ has a lot to do with water and sun! This is the name of the 375-hectare island at the southern end of the city state of Singapore. Translated, ‘Sentosa’ means ‘island of tranquillity’ or ‘island of peace’.
The ship ‘Sentosa’ was built in 1990 at the Hollandia shipyard in Holland. In 2002 and 2023, it was extensively refurbished and equipped with various technical and nautical improvements. The MS Sentosa is authorised for 40 people on Lake Zurich, is wheelchair-accessible and has a spacious toilet. The passenger compartment can be heated or cooled with the air conditioning system. In unfavourable weather or cool temperatures, the open rear section can be closed all round with tarpaulins.
Having strayed from the trustee's course, Sandra now sits in the boat with her two brothers. She is the charming captain and sailor of the MS Sentosa and takes care of all administrative matters. She ensures the perfect ambience on the ship and if she's not doing that, she's travelling or at a concert.
As a trained mechanic, Simon is not only technically adept, but also the advertising professional of the Sentosa team. As a quick-witted captain and sailor, he always has a funny line in tow. When he's not at the helm of the MS Sentosa, he's meeting friends, sailing other ships or playing hockey.
Marvin is not just a captain and sailor, but a real and very experienced sea dog. He is responsible for the mechanics and technology of the MS Sentosa. But he also repairs any other ship. When he can't be found on Lake Zurich with the Sentosa, he works as a motorboat driving instructor. In winter, he overhauls boats in his own shipyard.
